# 2. Care status

### 1. What Is a Status Tag?

A **Status Tag** is a feature that helps businesses track a customer's current stage in the customer journey, from initial contact through sales and ongoing customer care.

At any given time, **each customer can be assigned only one Status Tag**, ensuring that their current status is accurately represented.

Businesses can use Status Tags throughout the customer lifecycle to simplify customer management. Common examples include:

* **New Customer**
* **Interested**
* **Consulted**
* **In Follow-Up**
* **Closed Won**
* **No Response**
* **Existing Customer – Follow-Up**

Assigning a Status Tag enables sales and customer service teams to quickly identify:

* The customer's current stage in the sales process.
* The appropriate next step for follow-up.
* The team member responsible for the customer.
* Conversion rates across different stages of the sales pipeline.

By maintaining a single, up-to-date status for each customer, businesses can improve workflow visibility, streamline customer management, and make more informed sales decisions.

* **Tag Color**

### 3. Reordering Status Tags

After creating the status tags, businesses can easily **drag and drop** them to rearrange their order.

Reordering the tags allows you to visually represent the customer journey, for example:

**New Customer → Interested → Consulted → Closed Won → Follow-Up**

A well-organized status flow helps sales and customer service teams track customer progress more intuitively, maintain a consistent workflow, and ensure that every customer receives the appropriate follow-up at each stage of the sales process.

### 4. Managing Status Tags in CRM

After creating the **Status Tags**, return to the **CRM** customer management screen to view and manage the statuses assigned to your customers.

From this interface, you can:

* View each customer's current status.
* Quickly update a customer's status.
* Keep customer statuses aligned with the actual progress of the sales and follow-up process.

**Example status progression:**

* **New Customer** → **Interested**
* **Interested** → **Consulted**
* **Consulted** → **Closed Won**

By keeping customer statuses up to date, the system provides a clear and structured view of the customer journey, helping businesses manage sales activities more efficiently and maintain a professional customer care process.
